Why? Because its fun!
One of the reasons we moved here was for the natural beauty of this area. Even in our relatively urban environment, we were surprised to see the wealth of birdlife around.
Being geeks and nature lovers, my wife and I started casually watching the birds as they happened by. Soon a feeder followed, then another, then a birdbath… you get the idea. So a feedercam was inevitable.
The feeder cam currently consists of a Logitech Quickcam Orbit MP usb web cam. Snapshots are currently uploaded automatically whenever my machine is on and motion is detected using ConquerCam to a filehosting service my wife keeps. That’s it!
